Morgan raced go karts for 9 years, then moved into IMCA Open Wheel Modifieds. He raced IMCA for 2 years, and won the track championship at Lone Star Speedway (Kilgore, Texas). Morgan joined Rowland Racing in 2009 to run the USMTS Open Wheel Modified tour and other big events. During his time with Rowland Racing Morgan had over 30 wins as well as several top 5's and 10's. He also went on to top 5 and top 10 point's finishes in 2 years of USMTS action. In August of 2011, Morgan joined Wayman McMillan's team to pilot his Super Late Models.
