Scorcher 100 Presented By Reece Monument Co at Volunteer to Take on New Format

BULLS GAP, TN (June 5, 2010) – Officials of Volunteer Speedway (TN) and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series are excited to announce a change in format for the Seventh Annual Scorcher 100 Presented by Reece Monument Company. Originally, the event was scheduled as a two-day $20,000 to win, 100-lap event. The event is now scheduled as dual $10,000 to win, 50 Lap events, one scheduled for Friday Night, June 18th; and the other scheduled for Saturday Night, June 19th. Both shows will feature Red Buck Cigars Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and 50-Lap Features.
The Scorcher 100 will accompany the Thursday, June 17th, 4th Annual Car Smart Race for Juvenile Diabetes at Cleveland Speedway in Cleveland, TN. The Car Smart Race for Juvenile Diabetes will also feature Red Buck Cigars Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and a 50-Lap, $10,000 to win main event.
The tire rule for all three events will be as follows, American Racer SD44 or any compound harder, SD44’s must punch a minimum of 40; Hoosier Racing Tires 1300 or any compound harder, 1300’s must punch a minimum of 40 as well.
