Series SPEED Channel Broadcast Schedule Released

CORONA, CA (October 22, 2008) – Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series officials have released the SPEED Channel broadcast airdate schedule of 14 series telecasts that were taped during the 2008 racing season. The programs are produced by Newave Video Productions, and will air on selected Saturdays starting on December 6th

 

SPEED Channel’s coverage of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series begins with the East Bay Winternationals from East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL on Saturday afternoon, December 6th at 3:00 PM Eastern/2:00 PM Central.  The LOLMDS will then appear on consecutive Saturday afternoons with the races from Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, GA to air on December 13th at 3:00 PM Eastern/2:00 PM Central, and the event from K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, OH to air on December 20th at 3:00 PM Eastern/2:00 PM Central.

 

The LOLMDS will kick off the new year on Saturday Night, January 3rd with the SuperClean Diamond Nationals from the “Diamond of the Dirt Tracks” Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO in Prime Time at 7:30 PM Eastern/ 6:30 PM Central Time.  On Saturday Night, January 10th at 7:30 PM Eastern/ 6:30 PM Central, the race from “The Hornet’s Nest” Talladega Short Track in Talladega, Alabama will be shown. To wrap up the month of January, SPEED Channel will broadcast the event from the “Baddest Bullring in the South” Columbus Speedway in Columbus, MS to air on January 31stat 7:30 PM Eastern/ 6:30 PM Central.

 

There will be three Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events that air on SPEED Channel during the month of February, all starting at 7:30 PM Eastern/6:30 PM Central.  On Saturday Night, February 14th will be the race from Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL followed up on Saturday Night, February 21st with the Sunoco Race Fuels North/South 100 Presented by Lucas Oil from Florence Speedway in Union, KY.  To wrap up the month of February on Saturday Night, February 28th will be the COMP Cams Topless from Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, AR.

 

In March, three more LOLMDS races will be shown on SPEED; including the Saturday Night, March 7th showing of the Bluegrass Classic from Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY; Saturday Night, March 14th the Jackson 100 at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, IN; and the Rome Rumble from Rome, GA to be aired on Saturday Night, March 28th.  All March events will air at 7:30 PM eastern/6:30 PM Central time.

 

The dates for the hour long broadcasts of the Lucas Oil Dixie Shootout from Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, GA; and the Best of the 2008 Season recap show will be shown on dates after April 11th, 2009; awaiting dates TBD by SPEED.

 

SPEED is available through cable television providers nationwide, DISH Network (Channel 150) and DIRECTV (Channel 607).
