Series Announces Remaining TV Schedule for July on ESPN2

 CORONA, CA (July 20, 2005)- The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will bring to 90 million homes nationwide the most competitive form of dirt late model racing today with its dirt slingin', side by side action as ESPN2 will air three events during the remainder of the month of July. 

The first showing will be the re-broadcast of the 19th Annual "Ralph Latham Memorial" race from the Florence Speedway in Union, KY.  This nail-biting finish saw Don O'Neal take the lead with three laps to go from Earl Pearson, Jr. as all 50 laps went caution free.  The Florence race will air on Thursday Afternoon, July 21 at 2:30 PM Eastern/1:30 PM Central Time.

 

Up next on the ESPN2 schedule after Florence will be the action from the 7th Annual "Masters" event at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, WI.  See the Lucas Oil Late Model Drivers challenge the high banked 3/8ths mile oval with slide-jobs galore in the closing stages of the race as Donnie Moran wins his first Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event of 2005 at Cedar Lake.  The 7th Annual "Masters" from Cedar Lake Speedway will air at 1:00 PM Eastern/12 Noon Central this Sunday, July 24.

 

To round out the month of July TV schedule the "Dixie Chopper Showdown" from Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway in Saluda, VA will air on Sunday, July 31 at 1 PM eastern/12 Noon Central as Rick Eckert takes his first career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event after starting in fifth.

 

The next event to be taped for broadcast on ESPN2 will be the "Wallace Brothers Homecoming" at the Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, IL on Sunday Night, July 31.
