Lucas Oil NARA DirtCar Series Announces Rookie of the Year Program for ’05

CORONA, CA (March 6, 2005)- The Lucas Oil NARA DirtCar Series has announced the 2005 Rookie of the Year program for drivers who are eligible for the awards. The 2005 Lucas Oil NARA DirtCar Series Rookie of the Year will receive $10,000 in cash, with the runner-up earning $6,000 and third place taking home $4,000.
To be eligible for the award a driver must have never won an NARA DirtCar Series event in 2004 nor finished in the top ten of the final 2004 points standings. Also for a driver to be eligible they must have never won a $10,000 or more event prior to the 2005 Lucas Oil NARA DirtCar Series season.
Drivers that are eligible and meet the requirements set forth must notified the Series Office prior to April 8th, 2005 regarding their commitment to run for the '05 Rookie of the Year program. Drivers must run 90% of all the Lucas Oil NARA DirtCar Series events that are run in 2005 to be eligible for the awards.
